About Outlaw Trailers, Inc.
Founded in January 2018 by Dustin and Chelcie Martin, Outlaw Trailers, Inc. was born out of a passion for performance and a vision for quality. With over 20 years of drag racing experience, Dustin recognized a significant gap in the market for high-quality trailers tailored to the needs of racers, haulers, and hardworking professionals alike.
Before founding Outlaw Trailers, Dustin worked for Bailey Hydraulics in Knoxville, TN, as their trailer specialist for over five years. There, he built relationships with some of the industry’s leading trailer manufacturers, gaining valuable insight into the products and companies worth standing behind. His time spent inside manufacturing facilities across the region helped him determine which partners shared his commitment to quality and customer service.
Starting the company wasn’t easy. At just 28 years old, Dustin and Chelcie faced challenges securing a location and funding. Traditional lenders required years of financial history, and many property owners were reluctant to take a chance on a young entrepreneur. But persistence paid off. After presenting their vision to the owner of a key property on East Lee Highway in Loudon, TN, they secured a lease agreement—with the option to purchase after three years.
In January 2018, they took the leap. Dustin and Chelcie cashed out their 401(k)s, sold personal assets, left their careers, and bought their first eight car haulers to place on the yard at 1383 East Lee Hwy, Loudon, TN. Outlaw Trailers was officially in business.
